Introduction to SOAR for Native Communities Webinar

The U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery) initiative is pleased to announce its expansion to Indian Country and commitment to providing specialized, culturally-appropriate training and technical assistance designed to increase access to disability income benefit programs administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) for eligible Native adults and children who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder.

As part of this effort, the SAMHSA SOAR Technical Assistance Center, in collaboration with Wolf River Consulting, invite you to participate in our webinar, Introduction to SOAR for Native Communities, on August 20, 2020, from 1:00-2:00 pm EST. During this one-hour webinar, we will provide an overview of SOAR, discuss the impact of the SOAR model, how to become a SOAR provider, and understand how the SOAR approach helps providers in your community submit complete and quality SSI/SSDI applications.
